Happy 6th Birthday to Amy.
I can't believe Amy turned 6 today. It doesn't seem like she's been with us for 5 years now. She astounds and amazes us everyday. She just keeps getting smarter and smarter too.
She's been tested for the gifted program for next year. When she came home from school on the days she was tested, I asked her how the test was and her response was "easy". They had to answer a bunch of questions and fill in the circle that went with the right answer. We haven't heard anything about the results yet, but I know she did well. She already knows all 100 of her sight words to "pass" Kindergarten, so they had to make up a new list for her to practice for the next month or so, or until she learns all those and needs yet another list to practice.
Also today Amy got her hair cut. It's been quite some time since she had it cut, so it was long overdue. We had been letting her bangs grow out (ever since she saw the movie The Incredibles and the character of Violet). We probably had about 7 inches cut off, not quite enough for Locks for Love, but it was a big pile of hair when it was all said and done. But it makes her look so much better, a little bit older, but just as cute as ever.
