November 2004 Updates

At long last, I'm getting around to posting the fish pictures and a few of our Disney photos. It's been a busy month for us.

Dean has been putting in the long hours at work, Amy has been busy with school, music class, and general playing, and I've been trying to keep up with them and all that I've been doing too.

We had a few sick days - Amy picked up Strep Throat from somewhere. That led to a visit to the doctor, a battle to take a dose of the antibiotics, and then a trip to the emergency room to get an antibiotic shot since she refused to take the liquid medicine. Fortunately the shot was a one time thing and cleared it up the next day. Unfortunately it took a huge battle to get us to the point of getting the shot. Hopefully it's not something that will need to be repeated any time soon.

Amy continues to get smarter and smarter everyday. She still observes things and picks up on everything. Her latest thing has been noticing patterns. Apparently it was something she saw on Sesame Street and has just taken off with it ever since.

And she is still loving school. She was very upset when she had to miss school because of being sick. But as it turned out, all but 2 kids in her class were absent the same day, so she didn't miss much. And then when we had the Thanksgiving break, she kept asking when she was going back to school - and that was only being off for 5 days. I can only imagine what's going to happen next summer when she has 8 weeks off.

Of course, she also thinks she knows everything too. I told her one morning while we were eating breakfast, that she had the answer for everything - to which she replied very matter of factly, yes, she did. I got a good laugh out of that.

She's getting excited about Christmas. We're going to be traveling out to Washington for 2 weeks. I think she's more excited at the possibility of seeing snow than anything else. I'm sure we'll come back with lots of great pictures from that trip too, and I'll hopefully have a chance to post an update while we're gone. Without further delay, the pictures of our little fish and a day at Disney.
